Day 15 Caldas de Reis 15 miles Hotel Sena plus 2 more miles in town walking after dinner.

Ah. A glass of Rioja and some olives.  All this after a nap and a shower in reverse order.  It was a good day.  Long but the path was through farmland. Small towns and some woods mostly away from any traffic. It’s sunny and warm but with a breeze that kept us quite comfortable.

Since Tui at the Spanish border there have been many people walking; it’s the 100 kilometer marker out from Santiago - the minimum requirement to get the Compostela.  Still it’s not too crowded as people spread out considerably.

One more night in Padron on Thursday and then we arrive in Santiago.  After that??? Stay tuned.

Tried listening to Morning Edition while relaxing but that didn’t do it so switched to some tunes.

The news from Gaza is outrageous.

Pictures of the day to follow after dinner.

It’s actually the next day and we are in Padron with a wonderfully powerful WiFi.

We said goodbye to Sherry and Christine as they chose the Spiritual Variant path which is the one allegedly taken by Santiago’s body to Padron and then Santiago.  They will arrive in Padron by boat but not u til a day after us.  And so goes the social life of the Camino.

And then we met these two.  From South Africa.  He is a surgeon.  Very interesting discussions as they speak Africans, English, Flemish and Dutch as well as a couple of the local languages.  Amazing ways of communicating via "clicks" that I could never master.

And this couple is carrying their child (and her doll):)

Estrella Galicia on tap!! Craig enjoys this beer but has also discovered a few other "tostadas" that he enjoys.

A beautiful park in Caldas de Reis that we strolled through.  There is life off the Camino!
